We lead the UK Government-funded TRADE Hub initiative collaborating with more than 40 partners in 15 countries to focus on the environmental and socioeconomic impacts (including on gender) of trade in agricultural commodities and wildlife.
The Hub published more than 80 scientific publications and convened over 60 stakeholder events in 2022. It also supported the creation of tools like trase.earth that makes supply chain mapping much easier and the Trade Tools Navigator, which brings together tools that reveal the impacts of trade and commodity supply chains. Crucially, TRADE Hub has worked to develop indicators that will be important for determining if targets associated with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework are being met.
